We are seeking dedicated School Counselors based in the UAE to provide expert remote support to students navigating their educational journey.

The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Academic Success Coaching: Work with students on study skills, time management, organization, and overcoming academic anxiety.
Offer University and Career Counseling: Guide secondary school students and their families through the complex process of university applications (for both local and international institutions), including university selection, application strategy, personal statement writing, and career exploration.
Deliver Social-Emotional Support: Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions for students on topics like peer relationships, self-esteem, bullying, and adjusting to school life (especially relevant for the expat community in the UAE).
Conduct Parent Consultations: Advise and collaborate with parents on how to best support their child’s academic progress and overall well-being.

Essential Requirements:

UAE Professional License: Must hold a current, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Counselor or Psychologist from a recognized UAE authority. A license from the Community Development Authority (CDA) - Dubai is highly relevant for this role. Licenses from DHA, DOH, or MOHAP are also accepted.
Education: A Master's Degree in School Counseling, Counseling, or a closely related field from a reputable, accredited university.
Experience: Demonstrable professional experience working as a School Counselor within a K-12 school setting. Experience in the UAE and familiarity with its diverse educational landscape is strongly preferred.
University Admissions Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of various international curricula (e.g., IB, A-Level, American, CBSE) and university application systems (e.g., UCAS, Common App, etc.) is highly desirable.
Residency: Must be a current resident of the United Arab Emirates.
Setup: Access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection and a private, professional space for conducting confidential online sessions.

Desirable Requirements:

Membership in professional organizations such as the International School Counselor Association (ISCA).
Experience in a multicultural or international school environment.
Fluency in Arabic or other languages in addition to English.
