Mentalzon.com is a leading telehealth platform connecting families of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other behavioral challenges to licensed, certified Behavior Analysts. We are seeking experienced Behavior Analysts based in the UAE to provide expert remote supervision, consultation, and parent training via our secure and professional platform.

The Opportunity:

This is an excellent opportunity for UAE-licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA®) to establish or expand a flexible and impactful independent practice. Apply your expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to empower families and caregivers, design effective intervention programs, and monitor progress remotely. Enjoy the autonomy of managing your own schedule and caseload while making a significant difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Remotely Supervise ABA Programs: Develop comprehensive, individualized, and evidence-based ABA programs focused on increasing communication, social, academic, and daily living skills.
  • Provide Expert Parent and Caregiver Training: This is the core of the service model. Coach and empower parents and caregivers via video call to implement behavioral strategies and teaching procedures effectively and confidently in the natural environment.
  • Conduct Remote Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA): Utilize indirect (interviews, rating scales) and direct (analysis of video data) methods to determine the function of challenging behaviors and inform the development of a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).
  • Monitor and Analyze Data: Guide families in systematic data collection and use this data to make informed decisions, track progress, and modify intervention plans to ensure effectiveness.
  • Adhere to Ethical and Professional Standards: Practice in strict accordance with the BACB's Ethics Code and the regulations of your UAE licensing authority.

Essential Requirements:

  • UAE Professional License: Must hold a current, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Behavior Analyst from a recognized UAE authority, such as the Community Development Authority (CDA) - Dubai or the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi (DOH).
  • International Certification: Must hold a valid certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Education: A Master's Degree in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field that meets the requirements for BCBA certification and local licensure.
  • Experience: Demonstrable post-certification experience designing and supervising ABA programs and, critically, providing training and coaching to parents/caregivers.
  • Residency: Must be a current resident of the United Arab Emirates.
  • Setup: Access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection and a private, professional space suitable for conducting confidential online sessions.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience working with a diverse range of ages (early intervention, adolescents) and needs.
  • Fluency in Arabic in addition to English.
  • Experience leading a team or supervising other therapists (even though this role is independent, it shows seniority).

Conditions of Collaboration:

  • Status: Independent Contractor. You are responsible for your own visa, work permits, and adherence to all UAE laws regarding self-employment and professional practice.
  • Flexibility & Autonomy: You have complete control over your working hours, client load, and professional methods.
  • Direct Compensation: Set your own professional rates for consultation, program development, and supervision packages. Clients pay you directly, with no commission fees to the platform.
  • Impactful Model: Focus on the highly effective and scalable model of parent-mediated intervention.

How to Join Mentalzon:

  1. Create Your Profile: Register as a specialist on Mentalzon.com, clearly stating your BCBA certification and UAE license.

If you are considering psychotherapy but do not know where to start, a free initial consultation is the perfect first step. It will allow you to explore your options, ask questions, and feel more confident about taking the first step towards your well-being.

It is a 30-minute, completely free meeting with a Mental Health specialist that does not obligate you to anything.

What are the benefits of a free consultation?

Who is a free consultation suitable for?

Important:

Potential benefits of a free initial consultation

During this first session: potential clients have the chance to learn more about you and your approach before agreeing to work together.

Offering a free consultation will help you build trust with the client. It shows them that you want to give them a chance to make sure you are the right person to help them before they move forward. Additionally, you should also be confident that you can support your clients and that the client has problems that you can help them cope with. Also, you can avoid any ethical difficult situations about charging a client for a session in which you choose not to proceed based on fit.

We've found that people are more likely to proceed with therapy after a free consultation, as it lowers the barrier to starting the process. Many people starting therapy are apprehensive about the unknown, even if they've had sessions before. Our culture associates a "risk-free" mindset with free offers, helping people feel more comfortable during the initial conversation with a specialist.

Another key advantage for Specialist

Specialists offering free initial consultations will be featured prominently in our upcoming advertising campaign, giving you greater visibility.

It's important to note that the initial consultation differs from a typical therapy session:
